Laser Putt Uniquely Features:

Two lasers

GREEN and RED

Three Laser Systems:
  • Alignment
  • Calibration
  • Visualization
Includes: 40-inch Alignment & Calibration Guide

What makes Laser Putt different from other putting aids?

Only Laser Putt™ offers two lasers and these three laser systems.

Green Laser - Alignment
The GREEN Laser lets you visually confirm that you are lined up perfectly every time and allows you to see exactly where the putter makes contact with the ball. You will clearly see if you hit the ball off the toe or heel as well as the amount of your error. You can then make the corrective adjustment… and consistently strike the ball dead center.
Red Laser - Calibration
RED Laser Calibration System Whether you’re lining up a 20-foot putt or a two-footer… the length of your backstroke always controls the distance you putt the ball. The longer the putt, the longer the stroke. The RED laser shows you the precise apex of your backstroke, letting you putt with repeatable consistency at any distance.
Visualization
Laser Putt produces powerful visual images to store in your mind—images of your own putting—that can give you the bold confidence to stand over short putts (2 to 8 feet) and know that you’re going to make them. That’s Laser-it-in-the-Hole confidence!

No special putter needed!
  • Laser Putt works with virtually every putter on the market!
  • Laser Putt has a simple clamp and thumbscrew for attaching Laser Putt™ to the shaft of any putter that you already own.
  • Laser Putt™ works with both right- and left-handed putters.
    • For right-handed putters, attach Laser Putt™ so that the front of the unit faces outward, towards the putter head.
    • For left-handed putters, attach Laser Putt™ so that the front of the unit faces inward towards your body.
  • No matter which way you attach Laser Putt™, attachment and setup are the same—quick and easy!

Green Laser - Alignment
Master Your Line with the Green Laser

Step 1: Align your feet
  1. Lay the Alignment & Calibration Guide on the ground.
  2. Place your putter on the zero mark of the White Center-Line.
  3. Align the GREEN laser line with the white center line of the Guide.
  4. Keeping the GREEN laser line parallel to the white center line, pull the putter towards you until the GREEN laser line touches the toes of both shoes.

Step 2: Groove your stroke
  1. Return the putter to the zero mark of the white center line again
  2. Swing your putter.
Your goal is to groove a consistent and repeatable putting stroke by keeping the GREEN Target Line perfectly on-line in the "Critical Hitting Zone" 4 inches behind and 4 inches in front of the ball.

Use this instant feedback to understand the shape of your stroke as you take the putter back, at impact, and during your follow through.

An additional feature of the GREEN Laser is that when you actually hit balls with the LASER Putt, the GREEN laser line allows you to see exactly where the putter makes contact with the ball. For example, you will clearly see if you hit the ball off the toe or heel, and you will instantly realize the amount of your error. Once you determine where, and by how much, your mis-hits are occurring then you can make the corrective adjustment… and consistently strike the ball dead center.

Perfect alignment in the critical hitting zone.

Step 3: Balance your stroke

The last important element required for a consistent and repeatable putting stroke is "balance." To ensure that your stroke is balanced…

…check that your backstroke and your follow through are the same length, just like a clock pendulum.

The Green Target Line acts as a visual pendulum that allows you to master this feeling while you ingrain the image in your mind.

Use the measurements on the Alignment & Calibration Guide to see if your stroke is balanced.

This is an important part of the visualization process that will ultimately help you to build confidence and become more consistent.

Red Laser - Calibration
Master Your Distance RED Laser

Step 1: Calibrate your backstroke
  1. Place your putter at the zero mark.
  2. Turn on the RED laser.
  3. Adjust the RED laser so that it shines at the end point of the backstroke you want to practice. For example, to practice a backstroke length of 12 inches, calibrate the RED laser distance mark so that it shines exactly 12 inches from the front face of your putter.

Step 2: Practice your calibrated stroke without a ball

Get the feel for this backstroke length by swinging your putter and trying to keep the length of your stroke exactly the same on every swing.

When the RED Laser distance mark reaches the precise point where your putter started, your backward motion should stop – this is the “apex” of your backswing.

Practice and master this stroke length several times without a ball until the "apex" is at the same point each time. The RED laser distance mark acts as a "visual tape measure."

Step 3: Practice your calibrated stroke with a ball

  1. Place a ball next to the Alignment & Calibration Guide.
  2. Putt the ball using the same backstroke length you just practiced.
  3. Bring the RED laser distance mark to the back of the golf ball (where the putter face contacts the ball).
  4. Bring the putter forward with a smooth pendulum-like motion and hit the ball.
  5. Observe how far the ball travels, and enter the distance in your Putting Data Log.
Repeat this process paying close attention to the exact apex point of your backstroke and the resulting putting distance. You should being putting the ball the same distance every time when the apex point is the same. This is the goal you are striving for — consistent and repeatable distance.

If the ball travels different distances even when the apex point is the same, then you are applying varying amounts of energy (power) to your stroke.
The length of your backstroke should determine the distance that you putt the ball, not the amount of energy you apply to your stroke. To avoid this, use the same tempo for every putting stroke. Don’t try to adjust the putting distance by applying more (or less) power to your stroke.

Step 4: Build Up Results Data

Set the Red laser distance mark at various apex points for various putting distances and log the results of these "backstroke-to-distance" pairs in your Putting Data Log.

Keep records for balls hit over various distances. You will gradually get a feel for each backstroke length and the resulting putting distance and build confidence to execute perfect putts.

Soon, you will develop laser-perfect feel for distance, pace, and speed.

Build Laser-it-in-the-Hole Confidence!

Once you have:
  • Grooved the Shape of Your Stroke
  • Checked the Balance of Your Stroke
  • Got the Feel For Distance
  • Built Up Your Log of Putting Data
…you are ready to work on your putting confidence!

You will literally burn images into your mind with Laser-it-in-the-Hole putts… and you can associate these images with the physical muscle memory you used to execute the putts.

Step 1: Practice your stroke

  1. Start with some short and easy putts. Two-footers should be fine.
  2. Use the GREEN laser line to…
    • check your alignment
    • check your stroke shape
    • check your stroke balance
  3. Set the RED laser distance mark for this short putt and, without a ball, practice the stroke.
  4. When you are completely comfortable with the line, shape, and balance, you are ready for the next step.

Step 2: Execute the putt

Step up to the ball, and execute the putt—Laser-it-in-the-Hole

It is important to practice the exact feeling and mechanics of the stroke before you actually line up and hit the ball.

You want to make sure that you have the full confidence to execute the putt properly, sink the putt, and have a proper mental image to record in your mind. When you have successfully mastered Laser-it-in-the-Hole putting, you are ready for the next step.

Step 3: Store the image in your mind

  • Ingrain the image of the Laser-it-in-the-Hole putt in your mind.
  • Concentrate on the muscle movements and the feelings that you just used to sink the putt.
  • Commit the image and feelings to memory.

Repeat these steps five more times from the same two-foot distance. Make sure that…

When you have successfully completed five putts with confidence and stored the images in your mind, you are ready for the next step.
